Body Rules
Same as Lucas Oil Series
Three (2) Engines for 2013

ENGINE A
362.5 CID Max, Weight 2300, 8 inch spoiler

Block:
OEM cast steel block or after market steel block, all components must remain in stock location. No raised or oversized cam journals. No oversized lifters (.842) Max bore 4.070 (.005 tolerance) with 3.48 stroke or 4.060 (.005 tolerance) with 3.50 stroke.

Crank: Base weight 2300
Cranks must be minimum of 50lbs. Aftermarket cranks allowed, ½ lb. Variance will be allowed, crank will be weighed with gear and keyway. Balancing ok. Drill hole or weld or install Malory metal. Oil holes may be race chamfered. No other machine work allowed.
Cranks less than 50lbs must add 50lbs.

Piston:
Flat top only, no radius deck pistons, zero deck max.

Rods:
Steel rods only. No titanium or aluminum. Floating wrist pins allowed.

Oiling Systems:
Dry sump must add 25 lbs
No vacuum pumps

Intake Manifold:
Any 4 Barrell Intake
Porting or Polishing Allowed
No sheet metal intake

Heads:
STEEL ONLY
Heads must be 23 deg.
All heads must remain as cast
Angle milling allowed allowed not to exceed 1 deg.
Angle plugs allowed stock location
Steel valves only. No titanium or other materials
Hollow stem valves allowed
Under cut stems allowed
Max valve size 2.02 int./1.600 each
Must remain 11/32 stem diam.
CC limit on intake runner 205 maximum. No cc limit on combustion chamber
No porting, no polishing, grinding or excessive deburring in any breathing area
No shot peening or porting
Heads may be deburred or outside areas only
Valve spring pockets may be machined
Racing multi-angle valve jobs permitted machine cut only, no hand blending allowed
Competition valve job any angle, any depth
All angles must remain concentric with valve guide
May be machine for push rod clearance
May be flat or angle milled
Stud mount roller rocker arms allowed and shaft type allowed
Stud griddle allowed
No raised runners

Cam:
Flat tappet cam only
0.842 liter diameter
No mushroom lifters allowed
No radius lifters allowed
No ceramic lifters allowed
No roller lifters allowed
Cam bearing journals must be OEM

Carburetor:
One 4 barrell carb GAS ONLY, no dominators

Tire Rule:
Both rear tires must punch 58 before qualifying and feature race. No tolerance. If you punch less than 58 before qualifying, you will have 1 lap to qualify.
No front tire rule
Tires may be checked for chemical soaking
Random samples may be taken and sent to a lab for testing. If samples are collected, winnings will be held until the test results come back from the lab. If lab results prove tires to be illegal, you will be D.Q. There will be a $300 fine before you race again at the Tazewell Speedway.

ENGINE B
2375 lbs. Base Weight
362.5 CID Max

Block: Steel Block only

Heads:
Steel 23 degree angle milling allowed not to exceed 2 deg.
No raised runner heads

Crank: 2375 base weight 50 lb crank same as Engine A Rule
Light crank less than 49 ½ must add 50 lbs

Rods: Any steel rod (No titanium or Aluminum)

Pistons: Flat top only. No radius deck pistons zero deck max

Intake: Any

Valves: Intake max 2.055 exhaust max 1.600 must remain 11/32 stem diam.

Crank: 2375lbs base weight same as ENGINE A 50lb.
Light crank add 50lbs.

Rods: Any steel rod. No titanium or aluminum floating wrist pins allowed

Piston: Flat top only. No radius deck pistons, zero deck max

Intake: Any

Valves: Intake max 2.055 exhaust max 1.600 must remain 11/32 stem diam.

Ignition: Any
No traction control in any combination
Electronic boxes may be bought for $300

Weight variations base 2375 lbs

ENGINE C
602 or 604 Crate Engine
Ford Crate Engine D347SR
604 12 inch spoiler. No weight
602 12 inch rear spoiler 12x32 left side spoiler. No weight

All crate engines must remain stock as they came from the factory

Crate engine must not be altered, modified or changed from factory specs

No changes are allowed

Carburetor:
One four barrell carb. GAS ONLY
Any carb spacer

Distributor:
Any ignition

No magnetos

No traction control in any engine combination

Electronic boxes may be bought for $300

Tires:
No tire rule for ENGINE C

General Rules:
1. Tires must have all numbers and name on the tire. No grinding off numbers or names. Anytime this is altered, will be illegal.
2. Engine set back will be 6 inches from center of top ball joint to the most forward spark plug.
3. Track reserves the right to delete, change, or amend rules in the interest of competition
4. Any gasoline will be allowed. No Alcohol. E 85 gasoline will be allowed. The specific gravity may not exceed .750 Protest fee will be $25
5. Weight must be posted on right side A pillar
Failure to post correct weight will result in Disqualification
If weight is not posted, you will have only one qualify lap
