Buddy Rogers Memorial up next September 6

The 7th annual Buddy Rogers Memorial is the next event at Tazewell Speedway on Sunday, September 7 as part of the 50th anniversary season. This year’s event is a Southern Nationals Bonus Series race and is part of the Iron Man Speedweek presented by Revelution Race Cars. The Buddy Rogers Memorial will pay $4,400 to the winner.

Some of the area’s top drivers are expected to be on hand for the Buddy Rogers Memorial. Billy Ogle Jr., Vic Hill, Donald McIntosh, David Payne, Austin Smith, Jeff Wolfenbarger, and others are just some of the expected drivers.

 

The open wheel modifieds will be making their only trip this season for  $1,000 to win race.

Also racing on Sunday, September 6 will be sportsman for $800 to win and Super Stocks for $700 to win. Plenty of extra money up for grabs.

General admission tickets are $20 for adults, kids 9 and under are free. Pit passes are $35 for adults. Pit gates open at 4:00 and grandstand gates open at 5:00. The driver’s meeting is scheduled for 7:00 with hot laps starting at 7:30.

Tazewell Speedway is located just two miles northwest of Tazewell, Tennessee. Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the race track is located on the left.
