In a rain shortened feature Josh Collins of Powell notched his first win of the season after inheriting the lead on lap thirteen. Dakotah Knuckles of Ewing, VA turned the fastest lap in qualifying with a lap of 11.806 seconds on a very smooth track. Knuckles and Knoxville’s Brad Hall would make up the front row of the feature.
From the drop of the green Knuckles would take the lead trailed by Hall, Collins, Travis Fultz of Harrogate and Matthew Holt of Thorn Hill. As Knuckles pulled away Hall and Collins battled for second. Tony Horton of Sneedville would bring out the caution on lap seven as he spun in turn two. On the restart Collins put the squeeze on Hall taking over the second spot on lap nine. Three laps later Collins was putting pressue on Knuckles for the lead. On lap thirteen, with a few raindrops falling on the track, Knuckles would spin on his own in turn two. Collins would take over the lead and during a caution on lap twenty-two heavier rain moved in. Track officials declared Collins the win as the race had passed half-way mark. It would be the first win for Collin in the Howerton Motorsports, Rocky Top Tower Services, Howerton Logging, B&B Racing Engine powered Warrior Race Car.
