The Ray Cook-promoted Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals will make its debut at Tazewell Speedway this Saturday, May 2. The winner of Saturday’s race will collect $6,000.

Defending series champion and the most recent super late model winner at Tazewell Speedway, Billy Ogle Jr., comes to Tazewell with a lot of confidence following his April 11 win. Also running for series points are Chris Madden, Donald McIntosh, Stacy Boles, David Payne, and Austin Smith.

Other area drivers expected are Chad Ogle, Vic Hill, Steve Smith, Jeff Wolfenbarger, and a host of others.

Tire rule for the race is Hoosier 1350 & 1600 along with American Racer 48 & 56.

Also racing on May 2 will be Sportsman for $850 to win, Super Stock and Classics for $500 to win. Following all races, the make up races for the super stocks and classics from April 18 will be held.

Pit gates open at 4:00 and grandstand gates open at 5:00. Grandstand tickets are $20 for adults, kids 9 and under are free. Pit passes are $35 for adults.

Tazewell Speedway is located just two miles northwest of Tazewell, Tennessee. Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the race track is located on the left.
