Jimmy “Pup” Thomas Memorial CRUSA race set for June 7

The next race at Tazewell Speedway will be Saturday, June 7 when the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series returns for the Jimmy “Pup” Thomas” Memorial for $10,000 to win.

Many of the region’s top crate late model drivers such as series points leader Jeremy Steele, Pearson Lee Williams, Jimmy Thomas, and Matt Henderson will be on hand to mix it up with Tazewell Speedway favorites such as Travis Fultz, Josh Collins, Jason Trammell, Odie Overholt, and more.

Also racing on June 7 will be sportsman late models for $800 to win, street stocks for $600 to win, and classic cars also for $600 to win.

Pit gates will open at 3:00 and the grandstand gates will open at 5:00. The drivers’ meeting is set for 6:45 followed by hot laps and time trials at 7:30.

General admission tickets are $25 for adults, kid 9 and under are free. Pit passes are $40 for adults, kids 12 and under are $30.

Make plans to be at Tazewell Speedway on June 7 for the area’s biggest crate late model event.
