Preparations being made for Friday's Spring Nationals event

With wet weather and unseasonably cold temperatures out of the way, preparations are being made for Friday's Spring Nationals race.

Some of the area's top drivers are expected for the $5,000 to win race. Also racing will be sportsman for $1,000 to win, classic cars for $500 to win, four cylinders $500 to win, and pure streets for $350 to win.

All gates will open at 5:00 with hot laps scheduled for 7:30. General admission tickets are $20 and pit passes are $35.

All media credential requests must be submitted by 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 12 to Michael Moats at mrm4@comcast.net. A valid I.D. is required for anyone with a credential and must be presented at the time of signing in.

Tazewell Speedway is located just two miles northwest of Tazewell, Tennessee. Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the race track is located on the left.
