Mack take part in Iron-Man doubleheader

On Friday evening Mack McCarter was one of 20 Schaeffer’s Iron-Man Series entries on hand Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.) for the Firecracker 40. After timing third fastest in his qualifying group, McCarter ran into mechanical issues on the opening lap of the feature that forced him to retire early.

The following night at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) for the Independence 40, Mack posted the sixth fastest time in his group, which positioned him 12th on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Dropping two spots in the 40-lap affair, McCarter recorded a 14th place outing.
