Dale McDowell races to fourth-place finish at Tazewell Speedway

With Mother Nature axing Friday night’s opener at Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Va.), Dale McDowell competed in his lone event over the weekend on Saturday at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.) for the Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial. Drawing 35 Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals series entries, Dale posted a third-place finish in his heat race, which positioned him 10th on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $21,000 on the line, McDowell improved six spots in the 75-lapper to register a fourth-place finish, trailing Jonathan Davenport, Kyle Larson, and Tyler Erb across the line with Donald McIntosh coming in fifth.
