Tyler Erb tames The Taz

Tyler Erb came from the 11th starting spot to win Saturday's Lil Bill Corum Memorial Spring Nationals race.

Brandon Overton took the lead and held off challenges from Dale McDowell. As those two were waging a battle, Erb began slicing through the field toward the front. By lap 24, Erb has moved into third as McDowell had to pit with a flat tire. Erb gave chase to Overton as Jimmy Owens also began a charge to the front.

The race changed on lap 40 when Overton also suffered from a flat tire. Erb inherited the lead and spent the remaining 35 laps holding off Owens. Overton rallied to finish third.

Other winners on Saturday were Adam Mitchell, Lee Merritt, Gary Blanken, and Eugene Vaughn Jr.
