Cumberland Plateau Open Wheels make first visit May 3

 

The Cumberland Plateau Open Wheel Modified Series presented by American Racer South will make their first visit to Tazewell Speedway on Saturday, May 3. The $2,028 to win race has been dubbed the 28 Special in memory of Jeff Wolfenbarger. There are bonuses up for grabs for the open wheel racers.

Also racing on May 3 will be crate late models for $1,200 to win, classic cars and street stocks for $500 to win each, and four cylinders for $400 to win.

Pit gates will open at 4:00 and grandstand gates will open at 5:00. The driver's meeting is scheduled for 6:00 and hot laps will begin at 6:45.

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, kids 9 and under are free. Pit passes are $35 for adults, kids 12 and under are $25.
