Southern Nationals wraps up Saturday, July 26

The final race of the 2025 Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals presented by Coltman Farms will take place at Tazewell Speedway on Saturday, July 26. A champion will be crowned at the conclusion of the $10,053 to win race presented by Ray Varner Ford in Clinton.

The final week of the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals see a tight race for the championship between Jimmy Owens, Garrett Smith, and Keade Lowdy. Beckham Malone and Mike Benedum are close behind the lead trio. Three-time defending race winner Dale McDowell, Jensen Ford, Cory Hedgecock, Stacy Boles, and others are expected for the race.

Also racing on July 26 will be sportsman for $800 to win, classic cars for $600 to win, street stocks for $600 to win.

General admission tickets are $25 for adults with kids 9 and under admitted free with a paying adult. Pit passes are $40 for adults, kids 12 and under are $30. Pit gates open at 4:00 and grandstand gates open at 5:00.  The drivers meeting is scheduled for 7:00, Racing will start at 7:45.

Fans are welcome to bring in lawn chairs for the turn 4 hillside seating areas. Fans are asked not to use lawn chairs in the grandstand area due to the size of the crowd expected for this event.

There will be no personal ATV vehicles allowed in the pit area which includes 4-wheelers, side-by-sides, and golf carts. No personal vehicles allowed in the pits except for those going to handicap parking, which is limited and on a first-come basis. Limited camping spots are available on a first-come basis for $20 a night.

Tazewell Speedway is located just two miles northwest of Tazewell, Tennessee. Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the race track is located on the left.
