Buddy Rogers Memorial set for Sunday, August 31
The 17th annual Buddy Rogers Memorial is set to take place on Sunday, August 31. The $5,000 to win race will be sanctioned by the Southern All-Stars presented by Franklin Enterprises.
Hall of Famer Ronnie Johnson leads the SAS point standings heading into this weekend's racing action. Dillon Tidmore, Joe Denby, Michael Luna, Billy Franklin, and Kendall Franklin are other series regulars expected to take on the high banks of Tazewell Speedway.
Also racing on August 31 will be sportsman for $800 to win, classic cars for $600 to win, street stocks for $600 to win.
General admission tickets are $20 for adults with kids 9 and under admitted free with a paying adult. Pit passes are $40 for adults, kids 12 and under are $30. Pit gates open at 4:00 and grandstand gates open at 5:00. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 7:00, Racing will start at 7:30.
There will be no personal ATV vehicles allowed in the pit area which includes 4-wheelers, side-by-sides, and golf carts. No personal vehicles allowed in the pits except for those going to handicap parking, which is limited and on a first-come basis. Limited camping spots are available on a first-come basis for $20 a night.

Tazewell Speedway is located just two miles northwest of Tazewell, Tennessee. Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the racetrack is located on the left.
