Dale McDowell has become the favorite to win at Tazewell Speedway. The Georgia driver has won the last 3 super late model races at Tazewell that he has entered. Saturday was no different as he won the Lil Bill Corum Memorial Spring Nationals race before a massive crowd.

McDowell set fast time to earn the $2,100 bonus from Toyota of Knoxville. He easily won his heat race to earn the pole position for the 75-lap race.

McDowell got the lead from the start over Brandon Overton. McDowell remained unchallenged until lap 55 when he was stuck behind slower traffic that were racing for position. Overton pulled up to McDowell’s rear bumper. McDowell cleared the traffic and pulled away from Overton for the win.
