Dakotah Knuckles of Ewing, VA used a fast race track to lead every lap of the Limited Late Model feature and record his first win over a stout field of ground pounders. In qualifying Knuckles turn the fastest lap of 11.409 seconds coming close to breaking the track record. After drawing the one for the invert Knuckles would start on the pole position alongside points leader Jason Trammell of Knoxville.
From the drop of the green Knuckles took the early lead followed by Trammell, Josh Collins of Powell and Greg Estes of Jonesville, VA, who was debuting a new Longhorn Race Car. Even with a couple of cautions slowing the field, no one was able to challenge Knuckles for the lead. By the halfway mark Knuckles and Trammell had distanced themselves from the rest of the others. As the laps wound down the duo would encounter lap traffic allowing Trammell to gain ground yet it wasn’t enough as Knuckles lead every lap of the feature for his first Late Model win in the Hickory Star Resort & Marina, Marcum Oil, Jovida Enterprises, Florida Vet Cardiology, Fast Lane Sign & Graphics, Vic Hill Racing Engine powered Rocket Race Car.

Current Sportsman points leader Clyde Overholt of Tazewell turned the fastest time in qualifying yet failed to cross the scales after his laps. This would relegate him to the tail of the feature lineup. Matt Tharp of Luttrell, who qualified second, would draw the one on the invert and start on the pole. Jonathan Miracle of Tazewell would start on the outside of the front row. Tharp jumped into the lead as the field roared down the front stretch trailed closely by Miracle, David Clark of Tazewell, Josh Chesney of Maynardville and Chris Barton of Pineville.
The first caution would fly on lap ten as Miracle slowed on the track with overheating problems. This would move Clark into second. On the restart Overholt, who started tenth, had moved his way through the field into third. Four laps later Overholt would slide up beside Clark to challenge for second. After a couple of laps of door to door racing Overholt would move into second. Tharp would lead all of the laps with overholt on his tail at the finish in the Hickory Star Resort & Marina, Satterfield Truck Service, Jovida Enterprises, C&C Landscaping, Stealth Carburetors, Warrior 1G Shock Service sponsored GRT Race car with a powerplant from Phantom Race Engines.
